If you're looking to buy one of these guitars for yourself, there are a lot of styles to choose from. If learning to play the guitar has been on your "To Do" list, now is the time to indulge yourself. We have outlined a couple of different jazz guitar styles below.

Types of Jazz Guitars
When you first dive into your options for jazz guitars, you'll find more options than you could have ever imagined. There are standard jazz guitars to choose from, but there are also luthiers that create custom jazz guitars as well. Many of them are able to completely customize to your specifications. But, if you're just starting out and not looking for a custom guitar at this point, there are three basic types of jazz guitars.
·         Solid Body: This type of guitar usually skirts around the jazz genre, becoming most popular in rock, country and blues. It's known for its ability to produce a high volume of sound. This type of guitar also produces little to no feedback.
·         Semi-Hollow: This type of jazz guitar is very versatile. It has one of the truest "jazz sounds" of all the jazz guitars out there. It's more of a mid-sized instrument, but it can pack a punch. It is used by many famous jazz artists.
·         Archtop: The king of all the jazz guitars. Archtop guitars are regularly used by the professionals. They are known for their famous arched tops, which allow for a full-bodied sound. They are usually acoustic, but they can be made semi-acoustic.
